2009 Mini Rex Nationals to Texas Mini Rex Rabbit Club

Grand Rapids, Michigan - National Mini Rex Rabbit Club Meeting. After a great deal of hard work and difficult negotiation by TMRRC president, Jon Rentschler, aided by former club secretary-treasurer, Carrol Hooks, and others, Joey Shults announced the TMRCC has submitted the winning bid and declared the 2009 Mini Rex Nationals will be held in Ft. Worth on the weekend of March 27th.

The show will be held in the Poultry Building of the Ft. Worth Stock Show Facilities, the banquet will be held at the Stockyard Station, and show headquarters will be the Extended Stay Hotel.

Members interested in volunteering are asked to contact any TMRCC officer.

Annual Meeting Business Report

Hillsboro, Texas - Texas Mini Rex Rabbit Club Annual Meeting. President Jon Rentschler called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm with 25 members in attendance.

Minutes from the General Membership Meeting in November, 2006 and Executive Board Meeting of March, 2007 were approved for inclusion in the newsletter.

Outgoing Club Secretary-Treasurer, Carrol Hooks, presented the Financial Report, which was accepted as offered.

Gay Sparks, Audit Committee chairman, reported, "All financial receipts and records were found to be in order and all expenditures were accounted for with necessary documentation."

Rentschler, with assistance from Carrol Hooks, Doug Coe, Amy Mersiovsky, and Janis Fossati, submitted a bid to the NMRRC board meeting which was accepted (see above). Rentchler will chair a Convention Committee consisting Carrol Hooks, Gay Sparks, Patti Walthrop, Bob McBee, Ann Mersiovsky, Sandra Neal, Janis Fosseti and Doug Coe.

The TMRRC Annual Show was tentatively set for second weekend in November, 2008, with a possible specialty show in conjunction with Belton's 4-H Extravaganza on the third weekend.

Club officers elected. Jon Rentschler, President; Doug Coe, Vice President; Mallary Goldman, Secretary-Treasurer; Bob McBee, Janis Fossati, Sandra Neal, Gay Sparks, Colleen Sanders and Amy Mersiovsky, directors.
